Guide to icons

Purple ruby colour, nose combining cooked red fruits, smoky notes, spices, and roasting. Ample and dense on the palate, the tannins present are fine. Spicy finish.

Service: Serve at 16° to 18°C. It is recommended to bring the wine to room temperature and uncork the bottles two to three hours before tasting: it will thus release all its aromas.

Food Pairing: This Châteauneuf-du-Pape, which classically accompanies meats, venison and cheeses, can also surprise when served with desserts, in particular with chocolate, the sweet roundness of which it magnifies through the principle of opposition of flavours.

Tracing its origins back to 1405, Domaine de Banneret is a small 5-hectare property situated right in the heart of Cheateauneuf-du-Pape. Located on the characteristic galet-covered soil, the vineyards are divided in 9 parcels.

This traditional Chateauneuf-du-Pape comes from thirteen grape varieties harvested on nine parcels ideally
planted on very varied soils (rolled pebbles, sand, safres, limestone splinters).

Red | Still | 75cl | 14.5% ABV

Cellaring: Can enjoy now but will develop like a dream over next 30 years.

Vinification: Manual harvest without destemming at full maturity of each grape variety. Careful sorting of the grapes. Maceration and fermentation of the grapes together in a single vat. At the end of two years of aging in old futs, clarified by natural decantation and by regular sub-draws, the wine preserves all its elements and tannins of origin of which one recognizes the benefits. Natural filtration by decantation without addition of yeasts for fermentation. Aged in old oak barrels for 18/24 months.
